Tread Lightly! leads a national initiative to protect and enhance recreation access and opportunities by promoting outdoor ethics to heighten individuals’ sense of good stewardship. Offering a myriad of programs, trainings and educational material, Tread Lightly wants to help educate recreationists across the nation on the importance of (as the name implies), treading lightly including drones enthusiasts as drones are increasingly being used with other activities.
Tread Lightly!’s new “FLYING DRONES RESPONSIBLY” campaign is part of Respected Access is Open Access, a national campaign that promotes responsible recreation for enthusiasts, hobbyists, industry and agencies alike. The ultimate goal of the Responsible Flying public awareness campaign is to educate and promote responsible operation of Drones/UAS systems. Their public outreach campaign seeks to expand partnerships with other official UAS enthusiast groups, local, state, and federal agencies, manufacturers, non-profit organizations, and private sector business to help support their campaign goals.
We all love getting outdoors, and enjoying our favorite activities. Capturing our adventure with our drones is part of the fun, and allows us to share our experiences with others. However, while using drones we all need to make sure we follow the rules and regulations, to ensure the safety those around us.
