RoboUniverse Conference & Expo Heads to San Diego with Focus on Agriculture, Cognitive Science, Drones, and Manufacturing & Logistics – Get 10% OFF

Launched in New York City in May and Seoul, South Korea in June, RoboUniverse is quickly becoming the premier robotics conference and exposition serving the global marketplace.

RoboUniverse is heading to San Diego, California on December 14-16, for an event that will feature a half-day of interactive tutorials, plus two days of conference sessions demonstrations of the latest robotics technologies and services.  The event will also showcase the work of talented emerging robotics innovators in the RoboGameChanger Startup Competition, which is offering a $10,000 prize (uncapped convertible note, courtesy of Asimov Ventures).

Confirmed Keynote Speakers Include:

–        Chris Anderson, CEO, 3D Robotics

–        Charles Bergan, Vice President of Engineering, Qualcomm, Inc.

–        Dr. Cynthia Breazeal, Founder and Chief Scientist, Jibo

–        Albert P. Pisano PhD, Dean of the Jacobs School of Engineering, University of California, San Diego

–        Mel Torrie, M.S., CEO and Co-Founder, Autonomous Solutions, Inc.

The conference program is organized around four primary themes – Agriculture, Cognitive Science, Drones, and Manufacturing & Logistics.

Agriculture:

The Agriculture Track at RoboUniverse San Diego explores innovation in farming practices, including big AG, specialty crops, and vineyards. Sessions will examine a new breed of connected smart farms enabled by robotics and technology innovation, and driven around efficiency, accuracy, big data, and automation. This track will include several practitioners and innovation leaders from Driscoll’s, Grimmway Farms, Forbes, and E&J Gallo Winery, amongst others.

The exhibit hall will also feature a dedicated AgTech pavilion, sponsored by Driscoll’s.

Cognitive Science:

Sessions in the Cognitive Science Track provide applications for building the “brains” of future robotic applications and involve emerging mathematical algorithms to not only solve common business problems, but also detect and predict future patterns. The Cognitive Science Track at RoboUniverse will explore research in AI, machine learning, deep learning, knowledge engines, neural networks, and more.

Drones:

Sessions in the Drones or Unmanned Aerial Vehicle (UAV) Track aim to explore how one can develop and define a business based on drones; build and maintain your own drone; accessorize your drone; and understand current and future drone applications in action.

MecklerMedia also announced the Drone Zone at RoboUniverse San Diego, a dedicated drone demo area where organizations or inventors can demo their drones to clients or attendees.

Manufacturing & Logistics:

RoboUniverse’s Manufacturing & Logistics Track highlights the latest advances in collaborative robotics and mobile robots for manufacturing and materials handling. Sessions will explore how collaborative and mobile autonomous robots are changing how goods are produced and managed.

Additional content areas at RoboUniverse San Diego include Business & Investment, STEM Education, IoT & Robotics, and Healthcare. The full program can be found at robouniverse.com/san-diego.
