Any good FPV ground station needs to have a way of displaying quality video streamed down from the onboard camera.  While some pilots prefer to use specifically designed goggles to view their video, others prefer a monitor.  When looking for a monitor the first and most important feature any FPV monitor should have is the ability to not switch to a blue or black screen when the video signal begins to degrade.  The monitor should be able to display static so if your signal iphone 5s reconditionné starts to weaken, most likely due to distance, you’ll still be able to view the video and maneuver to area where the signal strength is stronger.  Another feature to look for is brightness, this helps during those sunny days.  The brighter the screen the easier it is to see during the day.  Also, make sure the monitor has an A/V in port and can run on a 12v power supply.

ReadymadeRC offers several different sizes of LCD screen; I chose their biggest, 10.1 inches.  These monitors offer all of the above features and more.  Each monitor comes with a 12V 1200mA power supply with US prongs (accepts 100-240V, 50/60Hz), A/V breakout cable with 2 Composite Inputs, 1 Audio Input (mono), 1 Power input (2.1mm barrel), VGA DIN adapter, manual, integrated tripod mount, remote control and a sun shield with Velcro strips.

I incorporated this monitor into my ground station and powered it with a ReadyMadeRC 3s 5100mAh 35C LiPo battery using a 2.1mm barrel to Deans adapter plug.  Viewing during the day was no problem; the ultra-bright crystal clear image was easy to see.  Using the included sun screen did help with some of the glare on the edges of screen but I really didn’t need it.  Nighttime viewing was even better; I was pleasantly surprised at how dark the black in the background was.  An important note is for the screen not to turn blue or black with a weak signal you must be in A/V 2.

If you are in the market for a FPV monitor check out the high quality offerings from ReadyMadeRC.  This monitor is lightweight, easy to install, simple to use and is a great addition to any FPV ground station.
