At the recent Xponential 2022 trade show in Orlando, FL, Doosan, a South Korean UAV firm, was showing the extended flight times provided by hydrogen power systems. Doosan included a ParaZero safety system in its exhibit. ParaZero addresses the need to design drones that can safely fly over populations and infrastructure.
ParaZero Drone Safety Solutions was founded in 2014 in Be’er Sheva, Israel. The company was founded by a group of aviation professionals and veteran drone operators to solve the industry’s primary challenge–safety. ParaZero’s vision is to “unlock the full potential of the commercial drone industry.” The ParaZero SafeAirTM system “applies real-time data analytics to identify and mitigate flight risks autonomously and increase safety for bystanders while protecting the loss of expensive drones, equipment, and payloads.” Photographs courtesy of Tom Atwood, executive director, The National Robotics Education Foundation.
