Oregon State scientists now have a new tool to study the behavior of whales, in this case the feeding habits of the blue whale.  While the blue whale is one of the largest creatures on earth, they get all of their energy from consuming the smallest creatures on earth, krill.  Watch as a blue whale demonstrates the proper table manners when approaching a swarm of food.

The researchers from the Marine Mammal Institute at the Oregon State University use a DJI drone to unobtrusively follow blue whales and observe their habits from a total new perspective.  Drones can add a lot to scientific research in many different fields, this is just another example of their great value.
