Goodbye, chairlift line, hello drone! Amazon just patented a drone that can drag skiers up a mountain using a tow handle! After calling for the drone with a smartphone, the drone would arrive at the geo-tagged location and drop a rope. The drone would then slowly drag the skier up the mountain and at the top, the rope would retract and the drone would fly to the next customer.
Amazon wrote in the patent filing that extreme skiers may use this system to reach remote areas. The patent also notes that the tow handle could be used for waterskiing or skateboarding.
